Membership Categories

We offer a variety of membership categories based on age and family status: Adult, Student, Active Older Adult, Family, Active Older Adult Couple, and Single Parent Family. See the membership desk for details and pricing.

The YMCA reserves the right to change membership fee with 30 days written notice to members.

Joiner's Fee

One time payment due at the time of sig up with the first month's payment. Any member that lapses one month after renewal/cancellation will be considered a new membership and will be subject to the joiner's fee.

Methods of Payment

1) Electronic Fund Transfer:

An easy way to pay as you go! Your checking account is debited on the 25th of the month.
**Cancellations need to be processed by
the 10th of the month
to avoid payment taken out of
account for that month.**

2) Annual Payment:

Dues may be paid in full upon joining and yearly thereafter. Payment is accepted via cash, check, or credit card - see the membership desk for details.

Financial Assistance

The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and annually raises scholarship funds to help make that possible. Please let us know if we may serve you or your family in this way.

AWAY

The AWAY (Always Welcome at YMCA's) imprint on your membership card entitles you to visit participating YMCA's in other cities when you are traveling. Please call ahead for individual YMCA policies regarding the AWAY program. AWAY program members may use their membership at the Springfield Family YMCA three times per year free of charge.

Guests

A photo ID will be required of all guests, ages 16 & older. A parent or guardian must sign in all guests under 18 years old. All identification is retained by the Member Service desk. A member must accompany the guest in the facility and be responsible for their conduct. No more than 3 visits per guest per year. Youth member's parent must accompany and register a youth guest
(ages 7 to 15).

Refund Policy

If the YMCA cancels a program, a 100% refund will be given to the program participant. If a program participant withdraws from a program, a 50% credit will be given after the first class only. No program credits or refunds will be given after the second class. For day camp, please refer to the Day Camp Parents Handbook.

Observers

An adult must accompany all observers under 18 years old for games and activities.

Canceling your Membership

Your membership may be transferrable to another YMCA. Stop by the membership desk for assistance before you join another YMCA. To cancel your membership, you must provide a minimum of 30 days written notice and return your membership card.
